Flash and Thunder

Flash and Thunder: Demons of Carentan is a turn-based tactical squad-builder in an alternate-history World War II setting, where Allied forces prepare to liberate a Europe that is in the grip of supernatural powers.

You control a scrappy squad of specialist operatives, parachuted into occupied France to collect intelligence, gather artefacts, and punch zombies in the face.

Manage your squad through a series of encounters in randomly generated, grid-based arenas. Each engagement poses unique problems, requiring careful use of tactics and deployment of abilities. The environment provides cover to your squad, but the terrain can also present challenges in engaging the enemy. Assess each situation and decide whether to sneak around or go in guns blazing. There's no one right solution, but there are always plenty of wrong ones.

As you progress, the intelligence you collect and the experience you acquire will unlock unique items and abilities. Collecting arcane intelligence unlocks powerful relics, granting your squad supernatural abilities. Collecting supply caches unlocks more powerful conventional weapons, which you can use to devastating effect.

Every member of your squad has a specialism: tactics, assault, support, range, ordnance. Bring together the right specialism with the right items and your squad becomes virtually unstoppable. Choose poorly and you will be doomed to watch your men die.
