Who we are

Flash and Thunder: Demons of Carentan (“the game”) is developed and published by Miriglith (“we”, “us”), based in the United Kingdom. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, contact us at info@miriglith.com.

The short version

What the game collects

Analytics. While you play, the game may record information about how it is used, for example:

Crash reports. If the game crashes or hits a serious error, it may send a crash report. This can include the error details, a log of what the game was doing just before the problem, the game version, and technical information about your system like the list above.

Why we collect it

We use this information only to understand how the game is played, to balance and improve it, and to find and fix bugs and crashes. Our legal basis under UK and EU data protection law is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the game. We have taken care to keep the data limited to what we need for those purposes.

Who we share it with

We may use trusted service providers to collect, store and process analytics and crash data on our behalf. They may only use the data to provide that service to us. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers or use it to profile you. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.

Steam

The game is distributed on Windows PC through Steam. Your Steam account, purchases and any Steam features you use (such as achievements or cloud saves) are handled by Valve Corporation under the Steam Privacy Policy, not this one.

How long we keep it

We keep analytics and crash data only for as long as we need it to support and improve the game. After that, it is deleted, or aggregated so that it can no longer be linked to an installation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, or to object to analytics collection, email info@miriglith.com. Because the data is linked to a random identifier rather than your name, we may need your help to locate it.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and all fonts and images are served from this site. Like most web servers, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for security and maintenance.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the game gains new features. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
